Initial Inquiry & Contact
The client contacts the service provider via phone or email, detailing the scope of the project (e.g., clearance of domestic homes, garages, sheds, or workshops).
Preliminary details are gathered, including property size, location, access restrictions, and target dates.
Assessment & Site Inspection
Visual Survey: A representative inspects the property in person or reviews photo/video submissions to assess the volume and type of items.
Categorization: Items are categorized into waste, recyclable materials, donated items, and hazardous waste requiring special handling.
Valuation & Offset Calculation
High-value or resellable items (e.g., furniture, antiques, collectibles, jewellery) are evaluated.
The estimated value of these items is applied as an offset against the standard clearance labour and disposal fees to reduce the final cost.
Optionally a discovery may be performed to generate an inventory of all items of value (above £500 and above £1500) including stamp or other collections, artwork, jewellery, antiques and so on. This inventory is supplied as a spreadsheet and collection of videos and pictures of valuable assets.
Quote Preparation & Delivery
A detailed cost breakdown is generated, incorporating estimated disposal fees (based on weight/volume and statutory notices), labour, vehicle costs, and item value offsets.
The final written estimate is delivered to the client for approval before any work begins.
